Our perspective

Strong organisations are built, not assembled.

REBON's approach comes from two Persian ideas: a root, and a structure built around one centre.

01

The name

REBON comes from the Persian bon: root, foundation. It is a reminder to start beneath the surface, with how a business and its market actually work, before deciding what to build.

02

The structure

Our sign is drawn from the chahartaq, “four arches”: a square space with an arched opening on each side and a dome carried over one centre. It is one of the oldest forms in Persian architecture, and for more than fifteen centuries it served very different purposes. Historians describe it as a form rather than a single building type.

What made it endure was not ornament but structure: proportion, a clear centre, and openings that relate to one another.

Its corners carry squinches, the pieces that let a round dome rest on a square room. We think of our hardest job the same way: the transition from strategy to execution, made without losing the idea on the way.

03

What we take from it

We see organisations the same way. Purpose, positioning, identity, communication, marketing and commercial development are not separate projects. They are parts of one structure, and they hold only when they are built around the same centre.

Many growth problems are structural: a brand that says one thing while sales says another; a strong product with no clear position; marketing activity with no line back to revenue.

A navy panel with two mirrored arched openings on its left and right edges: the gate pair, one of the REBON primitives drawn from the chahartaq.
REBON's visual language uses only the parts of the form: the square, its openings, its axis, the measured wall.

Four principles we take from the form

From architecture to organisation

  1. 01

    A meaningful centre

    In the form
Everything is organised around one point under the dome.
    In our work
Purpose and market position are decided first. Everything else answers to them.
  2. 02

    Structure before surface

    In the form
The form is carried by its walls and arches, not by its decoration.
    In our work
Strategy before campaigns; the brand system before the visuals.
  3. 03

    Proportion

    In the form
Each opening is sized in relation to the whole.
    In our work
The right weight for each part: how much strategy, how much execution, and in what order.
  4. 04

    Openings that relate

    In the form
The sides are open, yet they read as one room.
    In our work
A buyer meets your brand, website, proposal and people as one organisation.

Why REBON

Why organisations work with REBON

What the philosophy is designed to give you:

  • A clear centre. One positioning your whole team can explain and defend.
  • A coherent system. Brand, messages and commercial material that say the same thing.
  • A sequence. What to do first, what can wait, and how each step builds on the last.
  1. 01

    We start beneath the surface

Every engagement begins with the business problem, not a deliverable. We separate what is known from what is assumed.

  2. 02

    We build one structure

Brand, marketing and commercial strategy are designed to work together, so that what you say, show and sell is consistent.

  3. 03

    We know complex markets

Our experience runs deepest in energy, industry and technology, where products are technical, cycles are long and buyers are many.

  4. 04

    You work with the founder

The person you brief is the person who does the thinking. Scope and fees are agreed before work starts.

Is your organisation built around one centre?

If brand, marketing and sales are pulling in different directions, that is where we start.
